I met up with some friends from the US in Munich. I took an ICE train, which took about 4 hours from Berlin. We had a great time exploring the city. We swam in the English Gardens, and visited a collection of Roman statues curated by a former German King.
My friends Molly and Morgan visited me in Berlin, and we then took a train to Amsterdam. We had an amazing time. We took a wine and cheese boat tour, and walked for miles around the city. We rented a car to drive to our AirBnb in Beverwijk, and spent the next day riding bikes around the coast of the Netherlands.
I spent one week taking regional trains all across northern Germany. I first went to Hamburg, then Essen, Dusseldorf, then Cologne. I finished my trip with two days in Frankfurt, and took a day trip out to Heidelburg. It was an incredible experience, with over 30 hours on trains within 5 days, and 4 different hostels.
